It’s Census Time - How do I count my au pair?
As you are filling out your census forms for the 2010 census some host families are wondering should they count their au pair on the census. Here is the recommendation:
In the first section where it asks about household members there’s a separate box for live in babysitters and others who may live in the home but may not be members of the family and that’s where an au pair can be counted.

Our baby boy is due July 28, 2010! We are very excited and looking forward to his arrival!
I will be taking a little bit of time off after the baby is born but, don’t worry! Our June, July, and August Au Pair meetings will take place as planned. If you are expecting a July au pair arrival, we have already spoken as to what will happen during that time and I will keep you up to date! I went to Orlando this weekend to cheer on my friends who were running the Disney Princess Half Marathon. No matter how many times you go to Disney, the magic is always there! It is now easier than ever to go to Disney and experience the Magic! Disney has a new program called Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. They are giving away one million free Disney tickets to those who give a day of their time to volunteer. You must register on their site and complete one of the opportunities they have listed.
I read book to a classroom at Gullet Elementary school in Lakewood Ranch. My parents are volunteering in the lunchroom at Tatum Ridge Elementary School in Sarasota. Friends are volunteering at “Music on Main” in Lakewood Ranch. A quick search today reveals many opportunities to participate in a Boot Drive to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association of the Suncoast. There are opportunities with Make a Wish, Habitat for Humanity, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Girl Scouts of the Suncoast, and the Red Cross, just to name a few! Whatever your interest, there is a volunteer opportunity available for you!

Current host families can earn a $150 program fee discount when they refer new host families to Cultural Care Au Pair. For referring families to qualify for the $150 program fee discount, host families must personally know families they refer, and referred families must have children under the age of 18 years. A program fee discount will be applied automatically to your account when the referred host family welcomes an au pair into their home.
Current Host Families: Extend with your current au pair and save up to $2,000!! Don’t worry, if your au pair is ready to go home, you can still save up to $1,000!
Families who extend with their current au pair are entitled to a $75 application fee waiver, $275 selection fee waiver and up to $1,650 in program fee savings. Total savings = up to $2,000! Families who re-apply to host another Cultural Care au pair are entitled to a $75 application fee waiver, a $275 selection fee credit on their account, a $250 repeat family discount, and complimentary overseas connection service ($150 value). Our “How to Save” weekend continues with savings for families with other agencies!
We welcome families from other au pair agencies to repeat with us. As a family experienced with the au pair program, host families who switch to Cultural Care Au Pair are entitled to $1,000 in savings! These savings include a $75 application fee waiver, a $275 selection fee waiver, a standing $500 program fee discount and free overseas connections (a $150 value). Greetings, Au Pairs and Host Families! Hope you are all having a GREAT month! We had an awesome December Au Pair meeting at my house this past weekend. We had a Christmas party with lots of yummy food, fun games, and great memories! I really enjoyed learning about your holiday traditions. Thank you to everyone who attended!
